To
My Dear Assembly,
Today
I will ask you a question of utmost importance that cannot be
taken lightly. You must consider my request as though you would
consider yourself a free person. I wish to ask you to stand
beside me in a call to service to defend your freedom as an
individual and to protect our great nation against the imperial
threat that fastens its hold over our souls. I would like to
call you to join your fellow activists and artists in an awakening
of the USA Exquisite Corpse.
Our country
was created as a functioning clock-work of Art. It is interpreted
and engaged. It is deconstructed and reassembled. It is a constant
continuum that changes as our lives change and adapts to us as
we adapt to reality. Through its ambiguous nature and its perpetual
work we can secure our hopes as a species and take back the land
that is ours to command. We must look to our past at the great
freedoms and changes that we have secured through our revolutions
and civil movements. We must follow the tradition of our forefathers
and amend the constant threat that endangers our will to freedom.
We must realize that if we become too comfortable in our lazy-boy
remote control world, if we allow ourselves to be hypnotized by
the government driven media and television, it will be ourselves
to blame for our nation’s end. We must take back what is
rightfully ours, and we must do it with great speed and will.
As Americans
we are given a great gift that comes with a grave responsibility.
We are free to speak our will and create an image of ourselves
as we see fit. From this center of individuality and through our
own personal integrity we can empower ourselves with the ability
to secure our freedom. As Americans it is our duty to protect
this country and sustain it as a center of liberty and independence.
We must respond now through action and mediation to ensure the
revolutionary spirit that lies dormant in our hearts. We must
uplift our minds and rise above the shroud of darkness that hangs
over our shoulders. We must awaken our American Spirit. We must
awaken the Spirit of the Revolution.
As you all see,
I took it upon myself to represent the challenges that lie ahead.
As the National Chairman of the USA Exquisite Corpse I designed
an image of an epic race against the machine in hopes of explaining
the means for which we struggle. I have sacrificed myself in order
to reveal the true nature of the time that all must face.
I give to you
an exquisite corpse, a mass of soldiers ascending from my grave,
a body of aesthetic to protect the Spirit of America. Through
these measures I can assure you that the Spirit of Revolution
will be awakened. The situation is yours to command and the space
is yours to sculpt. You are the conductor of this infinite composition
and you must find a means for its conclusion.
Eternally yours,
Jon Henry, National
Chairman
USA Exquisite Corpse
